New Businesses

Welcome to the Village of Norridge.  We hope to make your application process as easy as possible.

All business licenses are issued after the following:

1.  Certificate of Occupancy inspection by our Building Department

2.  Business license application(s) completed in its entirety

3.  Payment of business license fees and water escrow

Occupancy Inspections

Once you have finalized a location for your new business, please contact the Village of Norridge Building Department (708-453-4351) to apply for construction permits, or to set up occupancy inspections.  This inspection is necessary to ensure that the building meets today’s specifications concerning codes.

Business License Applications

At the time of the occupancy inspection you will be given a business license application packet.  NO business license will be issued until the location has been issued a Certificate of Occupancy.  At that time, you will need to come into the Village Hall to remit your application, license fees and water escrow.  The water escrow is calculated on an average of the last two months of water usage (minimum $350.00).  All forms must be completed in their entirety.  Failure to complete these forms could result in a delay in your business license.

All business licenses expire on April 30th.  Renewal notices for established businesses will be mailed by the end of March.  For new licenses that are applied for an issued on or after November 1st, the license fees will be prorated 50% of the annual license fees for the unexpired term of the license year.

May 16th - June 15th - 10% of original fee;
